Welcome To Clean Tech California !

The Clean Tech California Initiative is aimed at fostering the innovation and development of clean technologies, addressing workforce needs for high growth, high demand job training in California, and creating a consortium of public and private organizations to promote the affordability of clean technologies.

According to recent government statistics:

The CleanTech Institute and the California Institute of Nanotechnology propose to boost the development of clean technologies such as solar, battery and wind through conferences, comprehensive training sessions and the formation of a consortium dedicated to providing affordable clean technologies to consumers and businesses.

"California will benefit greatly through the establishment of public/private partnerships that allow businesses and organization to purchase clean energy sources in bulk at a much lower cost," said CleanTech Institute Chairman Lloyd Tran. "We want California to be at the forefront of clean tech which will, in turn, drive the demand for products and services that will be manufactured here. To this end, we have developed a curriculum that will allow the workforce in underserved areas to prepare for high-growth, high-paying jobs in the industry."

The clean tech project is being launched in accord with the state’s California Solar Initiative, which would provide $2.8 billion of incentives toward solar development over 11 years. The initiative also coincides with the City of San Jose’s ambitious green strategy is to add 25,000 clean tech jobs within the next 15 years.
